Donations needed for a survivor of sexual abuse

A migrant worker from Kenya (who prefers to remain anonymous) came to Lebanon three months ago to work as a domestic worker. Based on her testimony, during the second and third month of her stay in Saida area, she had been "sold-off" by one man who used to torture her with his belt to another woman who forced her into prostitution, locking her inside her house and inviting men over to rape her after paying her "madame".

After numerous horrible experiences, she managed to escape the house she was locked in, and came to MCC seeking help.

Marsa Sexual Health Center were generous enough to waive STD testing and gynecologist consultation fees. However, she is still dealing with some negative symptoms and needs $150 to pay for Chlamydia/Gonorrhea tests, urine tests, and any medications required to treat possible infections. After all health issues are treated, she will be visiting KAFA (enough) Violence & Exploitation to start the legal persecution of the rapists and abusers.

EVERY $10 HELPS! Send us a message on Migrant Community Center- Lebanon or an email to for any donations. We will be sending all donors the laboratory receipt to maintain transparency. All extra donations will go to the migrant worker as she also needs $465 to pay for her flight back home.

Spread the word!
